Entries Now Open For Daily Mail-sponsored GG2 Young Journalist of the Year

The search is on for a rising journalist from an ethnic minority as nominations open for the GG2 Leadership Awards’ Young Journalist of the Year 2016, sponsored by the Daily Mail.

The award, which the paper has supported for over a decade, is one of the accolades at the GG2 Leadership Awards hosted by the Asian Media and Marketing Group. 

People aged under 30 and from any ethnic minority who have done outstanding work in print, broadcast or online journalism are eligible to apply.

The winner receives a £500 bursary and a work experience opportunity at the Daily Mail. 

The Young Journalist of the Year award will be presented at a dinner in central London on 20 October, attended by figures from politics, business and show business.

The closing date for applications is 26 August at 6pm. Applicants can enter via the awards website.  

The GG2 Leadership Awards is celebrates multicultural Britain, while offering organisations a better understanding, reach and penetration into the British-Asian and BME communities, with its year-long programme of activities.

The winners of the GG2 Leadership Awards are high-profile achievers in their field, inspiring, leading and motivating by example.
