Telegraph Media Group Records £51.7 Million Operating Profit For 2015

Telegraph Media Group recorded an operating profit before exceptional items of £51.7 million, the publisher’s financial statements for the 53 weeks to 3 January 2016 show. 

On a 52-week like-for-like basis, operating profit before exceptional items for 2015 was £48.3 million.

Operating profit after exceptional items for 2015 was £49.3 million, up from £46.4 million in 2014. On a 52-week like-for-like basis, operating profit after exceptional item for 2015 was £45.9 million.

The publisher said it had “delivered a good trading performance set against a challenging print advertising trading environment and the ongoing investment in the transformation of the business.”

Turnover for the year was £320.1 million, up from £318.1 million in 2014. On a 52-week like-for-like basis, turnover for 2015 was £314.6 million.

On a like for like basis, double digit growth in digital revenues and marginal growth in circulation revenues partially mitigated the single digit declines in print advertising revenues, the publisher added.
