ICO Announces Plans To Help Small Businesses Prepare For GDPR
The Information Commissioner’s Office has announced that it will be providing targeted GDPR preparation guidance and assistance for small businesses.
On 1 November, it will launch a dedicated telephone service to help small businesses prepare for the incoming changes to data protection law. It will build upon the existing general public helpline, which took around 190,000 calls last year.
The ICO will also publish a simplified version of it ’12 steps to take now’ guidance, as well as a GDPR checklist, which will provide information specifically designed to help smaller businesses prepare for GDPR.
Once these services have been launched, there will be links to them on the legal resources section of the NMA website.
