Local Media Works to Meet Government Communications Service Next Week

Government Communications Service officials will be briefed on the power of highly trusted local media to deliver results for national advertisers at a Cabinet office meeting next week.

The session follows a meeting at the Cabinet Office earlier this year at which LMW told officials about the power of local press as a highly trusted and brand safe environment, highlighting examples of effective ad campaigns in local press.

The meeting is part of Local Media Works’ ongoing dialogue with national advertisers and agencies, updating them on the latest trends and insights in local media as well as products such as Local Media Works’ Featurelink service.

In addition to the advertiser and agency meetings, LMW head of marketing Justin Fenton is also meeting member local publishers over the summer to brief them on LMW’s work championing local media as an effective advertising platform.

Meetings this week have included a session with independent publishers the Newbury Weekly News, Higgs Group, Baylis Media and the Advertiser and Times, as well as a session with Johnston Press.
