2018 LMW Awards Shortlist Announced
The shortlist for the Local Media Works Awards which celebrates local media’s ability to connect national brands with local communities has been announced today.
The shortlisted agencies, which were picked by a judging panel chaired by chairman of MiQ and Medialab Group Stewart Easterbrook, are PHD, Mediacom Edinburgh, MG OMD, RP2, TCS Media, Spark Foundry and Publicis.
The 2018 Awards partnered with Subway and challenged media planners to come up with a campaign to promote Subway franchise opportunities and its importance as an employer in local communities.
The winners will be announced at the Awards celebration party on 21 November at the Hospital Club, where the overall prize of brunch with unlimited bubbles at the Shard will be won.
Mr Easterbrook said: “What the awards really showcased was a lot of people’s passion and understanding for the power of local media.
“It was a really enjoyable session to get deeper into that and see how people use facts, such as the high levels of trust in local media, and the holistic experience that can be created by local media, to bring some really great ideas to life.”
The seven awards categories are best original thinking, best strategy, best use of content, best use of local targeting, best use of JICREG, best use of Featurelink and best use of multi-platform.
