Deadline Day For Women In Local News Awards

Today is the last day to enter the first Women In Local News Awards, launched by Behind Local News as part of celebrations for International Womens Day.

The awards have been set up with support from publishers and trade organisations including the News Media Assocation, to celebrate the impact women have had in local, often virtual, newsrooms over the last 12 months.

The awards aim to be a little different — with a range of categories not normally seen at journalism awards, and with nominations open for both self-nomination and nomination by colleagues.

The deadline for entries is today and submitted work must be dated between March 1 2020 and March 8 2021.
