Newsquest To Hire 50 New Digital Sales Consultants

Newsquest has announced today a major recruitment drive to hire 50 new digital sales consultants as part of its ongoing expansion of its digital marketing activities.

This follows on from the company’s announcement earlier this month of a £1.5 million investment in 50 new digital local journalist roles in its markets across the UK.

The new sales consultant roles will be recruited under Newsquest’s LOCALiQ brand which specialises in helping SMEs grow their own digital presence and business.

LOCALiQ combines digital marketing tech, particularly for search and social campaigns, with the huge audience reach of Newsquest’s 150 local news brands, which now attract over 40 million visitors per month.

Through its investment in the LOCALiQ Sales Training Academy which it launched five years ago, Newsquest is able to provide a comprehensive career development programme for digital media sales professionals. This supports sales executives with extensive and ongoing training support enabling them to build their digital skills and fast track career development in digital marketing.

Henry Faure Walker, Newsquest Media Group chief executive, said: “There is no doubt that Covid has accelerated the demand for local businesses wanting assistance and support in their digital marketing, and we’re really excited about the opportunity to help the businesses in our communities do this through LOCALiQ. We look forward to welcoming new digital talent into our sales teams up and down the country as we continue to build out this opportunity.”
