The Telegraph Passes 500,000 Digital Subscriber Milestone

The Telegraph announced on Tuesday that the publisher has surpassed the milestone of 500,000 digital subscribers.

In 2018, the Telegraph announced their subscription-led business strategy, setting the goal of reaching one million subscribers by 2023.

Since the start of the year, digital volume has grown by 30 per cent. Their overall print and digital subscriber volume have also grown by more than 100,000.

Nick Hugh, chief executive of the Telegraph, said: “I am delighted that we have seen such substantial subscription growth this year; every part of the business has contributed to this remarkable achievement, and this is yet another key milestone we have hit ahead of schedule.

“This success reflects the quality of our journalism and the continued investment in our digital transformation.  As part of this investment we launched our new app earlier this year and it has played a key role in improving the digital experience for our subscribers.”
