Winners Announced For Press 30 Under 30 Awards 2025

The second annual Press 30 Under 30 Awards recognised 30 up-and-coming journalists at a ceremony held in London on Tuesday.

The Press 30 Under 30 Awards celebrate young journalists across the UK who have shown originality, creativity and passion in their field of work.

Taking place at the Lewis Silkin offices in London, the awards saw 30 journalists celebrated for the early advances in their careers. These awards run alongside the Press Awards and Regional Press Awards.

The winners were announced prior to the event, on 30 September.

Among the publications represented on the list of winners were The Telegraph, Liverpool Echo, The Times, Financial Times, The Northern Echo and The Sun.

Among the winners were journalists who have covered crucial stories across health, politics, crime and more.

The winners who attended the ceremony were given a trophy and enjoyed drinks and canapés throughout, while networking with their peers and industry associates. They also received professional headshot photographs.

Owen Meredith, chief executive at the News Media Association said: “To our winners; congratulations. Being recognised on this list is no small achievement. It reflects not just your skill and ambition, but the respect and admiration of your peers and mentors. You are already making an impact, I have no doubt your work will continue to shape our industry in meaningful ways.”

Aubrey Allegretti, chief political correspondent at The Times, said: “The room is bursting with talent, and you should all be immensely proud of yourselves for producing the outstanding work that got you recognised and invited along to this event.

“One thing you have all demonstrated in spades is hunger. The aspiration, the creativity and the drive to be pioneers today, and hopefully the industry leaders of tomorrow.”
