Government Uses Featurelink For Brexit Campaign

The Government is using Featurelink, Local Media Works’ native content and advertising service, for its Get ready for Brexit campaign.

Ads and locally tailored native content are running in all daily UK regional press titles until the end of October.

The ads urge businesses to update their contracts to ensure they can legally receive personal data from organisations in the EU and EEA after Brexit.

Featurelink is a service for advertisers run by Local Media Works, the local marketing arm of the News Media Association.

It allows advertisers to run ads next to locally focussed native content in daily and weekly local media titles across the UK.

Featurelink is heavily used by Government departments for public information campaigns, but it is  also used by businesses.

The Government is also holding a series of events across the UK to help businesses get ready for Brexit, running over the next five weeks.

The first events will take place in Northampton on 16 September, Nottingham on 17 September, Swindon on 19 September and London on 20 September.

The free events will combine a keynote address from senior government officials, advice stands and in-depth sessions to give businesses the information they need to get ready for Brexit.
