PHD Media Wins Local Media Works Awards

PHD Media has won the Local Media Works Awards Best of the Best award for planning an outstanding national campaign in local media.

A panel of judges picked PHD Media for its ‘Awesome Week’ campaign for the Lego Movie 2 and praised its insightful strategy and implementation of local media.

Richard Lee, regional marketing manager, RNLI, said “I was delighted to be a part of the judging process for the Local Media Works Awards this year. PHD Media showed a great understanding of local media and how it can be used effectively as a powerful platform for advertisers. Congratulations – thoroughly deserved!”

The 2019 LMW Awards, powered by JICREG, challenged media planners to showcase how they have used local media in a past campaign, or how they would integrate local news brands into a past campaign.

The Awards highlight the unique power local media has as a highly trusted and engaging platform and how it enables advertisers to connect with local communities.

Head of LMWA Judges and TSB Bank chief marketing officer Pete Markey said “The Local Media Works Awards are a fantastic way to highlight the importance of local media as a trusted and contextual platform for advertisers.

Local media reaches 40.6 million people in the UK and acts as an important medium for advertisers to use to reach the very heart of local communities. I was thrilled to take part this year and congratulations to all those who won!”
