Baby, Bank On Us

2023

The Sun’s magazine Fabulous launched its campaign ‘Baby, Bank On Us’ to shine a spotlight on young children in Britain living in financial hardship during the cost-of-living crisis.

Launched in partnership with Save The Children, Little Village and baby banks from across the UK, the campaign calls on readers to devote their time by volunteering for baby banks, as well as encouraging them to donate clothes and funds to support families with young children.

The campaign has since received the backing from the Princess of Wales. She said: “I am very proud to support this campaign to encourage everyone to play their part in volunteering or donating to this vital cause.

“Because the children of today will build the society of the future.”

The campaign has also been backed by Dame Arlene Phillips as well as a host of other well known figures. She said: “I encourage everyone to donate what they can to the Fabulous Baby, Bank On Us campaign.

“Whatever you can donate, just know it will make a huge difference to the lives of small children across the UK.”

The Sun’s Fabulous also commissioned an exclusive poll, as part of the campaign, which found that 43 per cent of mums had missed meals so their kids could eat more over the summer, revealing that 2,000 British mothers were resorting to desperate measures to make ends meet.

So far, The Sun has raised more than £70,000 from readers and powerhouse British businesses, which will go directly to struggling families. The Sun’s unwavering commitment to the cause shines through as they continue to publish exclusive stories to inspire change.

"I am very proud to support this campaign to encourage everyone to play their part in volunteering or donating to this vital cause."
